On 23 & 25 May 2018, over 300 dancers, teachers and parents attended this two day-long Auditioning & Employment Workshop.
I am very grateful to the Albanian National Ballet School for inviting me to deliver this workshop. Thank you to all the dancers and teachers for your dedication, attention and passion during the workshop.
The workshop programme:
Day one: Before and during an audition you and your assets, branding in the 21 century educational and employment opportunities in Europe planning for an audition application criteria what to expect and what’s expected in an audition tips for during an audition mock audition (optional) making travel and accommodation arrangements physical, mental and emotional preparation for before, during and after an audition some legal requirements.
Day two: After the audition keeping cool, learning from the experience and moving on if you don’t get the place working with major and small institutions contract and work permits maximising your potential through artistic collaborations finding and maintain the right connections building a support network in and outside the arts world presenting and promoting yourself keeping up with the pressure when working or learning in Europe.
